West Newbury is a town of roughly 4,450 people situated on the Merrimack River. West Newbury is a part of Massachusetts’ North Shore, as well as the Merrimack Valley regions of the state. It lies along the south banks of the Merrimack River, ten miles upstream from the Atlantic Ocean. The town is located approximately thirteen miles northeast of Lawrence and thirty-four miles north of Boston.
